Parent & Grandparent Sponsorship Invitations Started as of January 5, 2021

As of January 5, 2021, IRCC started to issue invitations to potential sponsors. Invitations will continue to be issued over the coming days. The government has confirmed they will accept 10,000 complete applications for the 2020 year.

Invitations will be sent to the email listed in your interest to sponsor form. Be sure to check your junk and spam folders. Once all invitations have been sent, candidates will be able to check their invitation status using the confirmation number received on submission of the interest to sponsor form.If you are invited to apply, your application must be received by the Canadian government within 60 days from the date of your invitation.

Applications that miss this deadline or are returned for being incomplete will not be processed and sponsors will need to submit a new interest to sponsor form and await a new invitation from the Canadian government.
